Microsoft has just announced, Kinect, the camera that allows to Xbox 360 players to play without joystick, will release in PC version.
This is a new device that will be marketed, not an adapter. The PC version reduces the minimum distance of use from 1.50 meters to 50 centimeters. The use of this camera on PC may be very different than the Xbox 360. Indeed, if it serves only to games on the home console, it will control a lot of software with voice or by movements.
Kinect then released in its PC version, the 1st February 2012. It is true that currently, no PC games is compatible with this camera, it's a safe bet that Microsoft targets developers who want to hack with this new technology. A technology that has a price, since Kinect will be sold at its launch at £160.
